The online platform for Enscape users to submit, vote, and collaborate on creative suggestions.
I would love to be able to use Enscape to produce animations that I otherwise have produced in other software such as 3DS max.
As drones have become more affordable we want to do more tracked footage, and to be able to bring the tracked camera path into Enscape to render out the path for compositing.
It doesn't just have to be tracked cameras either - I'm sure many users create complex animated cameras in their 3D software that could be brought into Enscape, such as product designers, advertising agencies, etc.
Although we are not providing direct import functions from other tools, you are already able to create or modify XML files that reflect an Enscape camera path and import it to your project. There are videos and Forum discussions about transformation instructions available on the internet already.
The landscape of formats for camera paths is currently quite diverse. Therefore it's hard to cover all of the different files and formats that exist to be imported and transformed automatically for Enscape.
I feel you don't need to support a diverse collection of file formats, just one really, something like USD.
I agree, as Enscape becomes more and reliable for certain teams, having another team who is familiar in cinematography who would be able to export a USD camera file and import to Enscape would be invaluable for a multi disciplined companies. It would enable multi-team collaboration and would vastly empower artists and create more cinematic shots for projects.
Due to Ai the industry is asking for artists to be more generalist, we just need tools to have that attitude too.
