Ambient Occlusion maps are meant to be used if the general ambient occlusion is not handled properly. As we are constantly working on improving our ambient occlusion and other lighting factors affecting the rendering quality, we don't see this as necessary.
In response to this being declined:
We cannot rely on bump maps in Enscpape for adding that little extra detail that is needed in defined edges of material maps like tiles, flooring and exterior siding. There is no replacement for good model geometry, but sometimes the easy and quick way (which is why Enscape thrives) is to use a material map instead. The difference is noticable when using the competing software that allow AO maps to be added by the user.
