Enscape can crash or error if certain material file maps are missing - looks at the mment like missing Alpha channels. This can happen easily with collaborative projects, installing on new hardware or renaming file/folders in the file system.
A tool that runs a summary of missing files for materials would be very useful not only to prevent Enscape errors but also so the user can quickly and easily clean up the model and make sure everything is correct vs sorting through the material list one by one (needle in a haystack).
I can't edit the original description but I'd like to clarify. I think what I'm asking for, at the most basic level, is a "purge" function for the Enscape material window, that will purge missing/broken maps. Evene better would be for it to generate a list of items that need "fixing".
