I would like some way to view my CAD model in Augmented Reality through a mobile device or tablet. I know this would be quite complicated to make happen, but even if it was limited to only the white mode, that would still be amazing. Enscape already has VR capability, so if there was someway to tie a mobile device or tablet to Enscape and view the project in AR, that would be awesome.
Hello,
thank you for sharing this idea and for outlining the potential value of AR in a mobile context.
Augmented reality on mobile and tablet devices is an interesting space, and we understand why it can be appealing for design communication and presentation. That said, Enscape’s current approach to mobile experiences is centred on collaboration, review, and sharing - helping teams and stakeholders access and discuss designs easily - rather than extending the real-time visualisation workflow itself onto mobile devices.
Enscape’s core strength continues to be fast, tightly integrated real-time rendering within the BIM/CAD authoring environment. Mobile AR would require a different interaction model and technical foundation, and at this time it falls outside of that focus.
We’re actively evolving our collaboration and sharing workflows across devices, and feedback like this helps inform how users think about presenting and discussing designs. For now, however, we’re not planning to add AR viewing on mobile within Enscape, and we’ll close this idea.
Thank you again for taking the time to share your perspective.
