With the move to the new interface and more happening in the Enscape window might I suggest that it would be good to access materials from the Enscape window and be able to click on an object and edit its properties from this window.The properties would be changed in the CAD program too of course... with a project with many materials a visual approach to selecting the appropriate material would seem easier to me.
