Posted this a a service request. IMO, it's a matter of sloppy programming. The reply: post it as idea. Like - really?
So.... The Enscape command line installer changes the font from, in our case, Consolas to SimSun-ExtB. Which is pretty annoying. I use the Domain Shutdown script to install updates for various software. When an Enscape update is installed, the font changes to something very hard to read. I could live with that if it was only for the Enscape installer. But the installer doesn't revert the font back to the original font on exiting. So the rest of the script is displayed in that horrible font as well.
I don't know about the reasons the people of Chaos change the font type, but if you need to do so, remember to change it back to the original font when the installer finishes. Thank you.
We agree, this behavior sounds very weird. We will check back what is happening here and take care of it.
