Split - Material Feedback Merged

Phil Read - 8/12/21

For an experienced Revit user the Revit workflow - To much switching back and forth between windows, having to close windows to get to the other window. What the customer wants is the ability to select the material inside of the Enscape window, make a changes and have those changes sync back to Revit, i.e. the ability to apply or change material from Enscape in context without going back to the design file. Simply initiate the change from within Enscape. This could involve selecting the material and opening the Revit material editor which remains on top of the Enscape window.

The material editor and library don’t anticipate multi user workflow or shared files.

When replacing a Revit material that is already scheduling correctly and has a surface pattern applied to it with an Enscape Material, The Enscape Material will override without warning, all of this you will lose the name, its scheduling information is lost as well as the surface pattern. (Right now we have a workaround around for this that we tell users but it is not one they would find on their own), If we could have a way to ask the user if they would simply like to replace the appearance tab that would be beneficial. The Revit work flow of selecting an object and editing material its properties may be inelegant but it creates certainty because of context.
