Sharing AR and VR Models with clients has become a necessary workflow in our conceptual design phase. Doing this in enscape through a VR-Headset tethered to the computer in the office has been an important part of that, while the stand-alone solutions have been a bit hit-and-miss. Sharing these models outside of the office computer especially on mac hardware, as well as ipads and iphones has been especially hard. The usdz file standard helped us bridge that gap, and seems to become only more important as a universal container for AR/VR Scenes with the upcoming Vision Pro Headset. We are currently exporting these usdz files through plug-ins from Rhino/Revit to show them on Apple Hardware in AR, but we currently lose a lot of the information added by enscape to our files, like textures on library assets. This is right now pushing as away from enscape as a whole and an export of an enscape scene to USDZ would help us greatly in achieving an easygoing and futureproof workflow together with enscape.
