the feature I am suggesting that be implemented here is that Enscape be able to handle multiple Rhino clipping planes. In order for this particular feature to be useful Enscape you also need to be able to perform light calculations excluding the geometry that is hidden by the clipping plane(s). e.g. currently when Enscape performs lighting calculations on a model with a clipping plane cutting a section the section is shaded as if the building were still fully enclosed, thus the section is dark.
Hello, with our latest 4.2 release we're supporting multiple clipping planes for Rhino. That being said, unfortunately, as you've described light calculations are not excluding the clipped geometry. We're investigating this topic though. Thanks for raising it here. Regarding the SketchUp Grouped Objects, this is also true and on our radar.
