while most of our cloud models are on the BIM 360 environment, we are often switching between Enscape and the cloud model to generate these section plane cuts. Having to not switch would fine tune the presentation of our models.
We frequently use enscape to “walk through” projects live with clients. We can get a similar effect with section boxes, but some of our models get to be so complex that workflow is too slow to use live.
Would be nice to have both options but if one has to choose one - then definitely cut objects have to become invisible to camera but still cast gi and shadows (like clipping plane in 3ds max cameras) - would be even better if you could implement a...
I don't know that this is the EXACT implementation I would need, but at minimum, I think that batch renders should be able to link to the section cuts in the model they are tied to. I haven't been able to do a batch render to this day, because of ...
The possibility of doing section planes while preserving the hidden geometry for light calculations would be an amazing feature as none of the CAD programs respect that rule.
Great feature. Hidden geometry should be respected in certain instances this would be required to illustrate to clients real world shadow and light when trying to understand the plan as a whole. If we could have a toggle option to switch between h...
Section Plane / Boxes directly in Enscape would be great! Sure you can do that in the CAD, but how about standalones / webstandalones? Revit is often incredible slow with very big projects... and the section function in sketchup is only 1 plane, n...
This is incredibly important. I'm a Vectorworks user and having presentations with perspective section cuts but with the quality on Enscape would be amazing. Currently there is a 3D section cut that is recommended by Enscape for Vectorworks users ...
whilst clipping plane seems to work ok in rhino and enscape, it would be good if it capped the voids in the model rather than looking inside. You have to actually cut the model if you want the sunlight to work correctly as it treats it like the bu...
yes perspective sections should show light coming in thru the windows not through a huge gap, else i'd just model 2 parts of a building if i wanted light to be false
Una funzione che potreste aggiungere già con il software attuale. CREARE render fotorealistici su viste planimetria, prospetti e sezioni. Avere una planimetria fotorealistica è fantastico. Oggi con Revit devo preparare una vista 3D non facile e ve...

This feature MUST translate to the EXE versions of the project!
There is not currently an easy way to create rendered sections through enscape with vectorworks without the file getting too large and crashing. Enscape supporting vectorworks clip cube, or having its own section plane tool would be the ideal solu...
Section perspectives are a foundational tool in architecture. We should be able to create these in Enscape. Make sure we can control the color/texture of the sectioned surfaces.
This is incredibly important/helpful for setting up rendered plans and elevations in Enscape. Having the option to calculate the light based on inclusion OR exclusion of hidden geometry would be great, but if I had to choose I would choose to excl...
This would be extremely useful but with Light and Shadows respecting the hidden geometry It is an issue we have grappled with in Revit for 20 years Folks will love IT
important for Enscapes standalone exe functionality to respect the section planes of skp especially for saved scenes in skp. Without it, its a major issue of outputting all the needed scened to clients.
To show the atmosphere of a space in a section/floorplan we need hidden geometry to be respected in light calculations. This would be a great addition to Revit.
Would be really useful for creating rendered sections, etc. I think light should still respect hidden geometry by default, for accurate atmospherics in sections/plans, but maybe there could be an option to have shadows behave both ways?
I can't say this is important- but it would be an awesome addition. For the light calculations, I would like the hidden geometry shadows to be a toggle. Whether they show up or not depends on the intent & usage of the images being created. sid...
yes, I would prefer it to be respected, it would make it much easier to create a humanized plant without having to resort to other more tiring means. The more we can focus the functionality in Enscape without having to keep changing to other scree...
