Brightness under material editor is a good option to fine-tune the texture but it's for the whole texture. It lacks the ability to over due textures...
Another option with a Contrast slider would let us get extrapolate more and have for example a more bumpy map (without changing the values) or more contrast on reflections. It really feels that would save a lot of work by avoiding going back and forth by doing it on photoshop or similar...
Cheers
Hi Joao!
Thank you for your thoughtful suggestion on our ideas portal. We really appreciate you taking the time to detail how a "Texture Contrast" slider would improve your workflow.
We see Enscape's primary strength as a real-time design companion, focusing on speed and ease-of-use to support quick, iterative design decisions. To protect this streamlined workflow, we are very careful about adding more controls that might move it away from that core mission.
For this reason, the functionality you're describing is a perfect fit for Enscape - Envision, which is specifically designed for creating high-quality presentations and provides much deeper control over the final image and video output. Envision already has the advanced capabilities to achieve the results you're looking for, saving you trips to Photoshop.
We strongly encourage you to give Envision a try for this type of refinement work.
Thank you again for your passion for our products and for helping us think through these challenges.
All the best.
Yes, Envision looks very promising but here at the studio WE are using Macs but might need to get, at least, one workstation with Win for it... There is still no date for Envision to be released on Macs right?
Thank you for your reply, cheers!
