I use Fly Mode often, however I often find myself trying to figure out how high am for line of sight studies. I know I could fake in a revit floor, but it would be ideal, if Enscape used the same registration, like in Revit, level/base point to report in a small dialog window in a bottom corner the height of the camera. I tried tinkering with the xyz of the create view but this doesnt align logicially with Z height.
Sorry I just got back from Vacation. Yes. I can offer a specific user case. I design Airports for a living, and planning layouts for terminals and other various airfield activities are specific to a LOS from the Air Traffic Control Tower. Perhaps the 'fly' mode can have a toggle to turn a reference on or off?
Hello,
thank you for sharing this - this is a very valid observation, especially for workflows like line-of-sight studies.
Just to clarify how things work today: Walk Mode is indeed tied to a fixed human eye height, which helps maintain a consistent, realistic perspective when navigating at ground level. Fly Mode, on the other hand, is intentionally designed to give full freedom of movement without constraints, which is why it currently doesn’t expose a clear reference for camera height.
Is there a specific workflow you use that makes Fly mode more appropriate for the studies compared to the Walk mode?
