The online platform for Enscape users to submit, vote, and collaborate on creative suggestions.
Enscape works very well for creating guidance documents, manuals, and training material.
One recurring challenge, however, is the ability to visually highlight specific components by changing their color or transparency directly in Enscape.
At the moment, marking selected parts in different colors or making them transparent can be time-consuming, especially when the geometry is imported from external sources (for example STEP files converted to Revit families).
It would be very useful to have an option in Enscape to:
Override color for selected components
Adjust transparency independently of the original Revit material
Apply these overrides temporarily for visualization purposes only, without modifying the Revit model
This functionality would significantly improve workflows for:
step-by-step installation guides
method statements
safety and training illustrations
At present, achieving this requires workarounds and additional model changes, which slows down documentation work.
Hey Mats,
I guess you are using Revit Graphics Overrides in the Enscape visualization right? If yes, would you please elaborate on the time taking workaround process a bit more? What exactly is time consuming for you, so that we can see if we can improve that or not.
Because implementing a similar flow within Enscape renderer itself (instead of Revit's own graphics overrides) would require a high amount of invesment.
