The ability to use artistic rendering styles is incredibly powerful in communicating design intent to clients. Clients often take photorealistic renders too literally which can create unreasonable expectations of what the final project will be. The ability to use styles like watercolor, or sketch-like effects allows the client to understand the design while not taking the render too literally. It also helps communicate that the design is still in progress which invites more constructive feedback. Different styles of watercolor and sketch filters would have the most use for our applications.
